I know what this bug is - a pesky fly - but he's still pretty!
Here is one that looks like a fighter jet:
Does anyone know what this bug is? He's not only beautiful, he matches my kitchen!
These were all in Southwest Florida. Anybody got a clue? I don't!

You have taken some very good photos here. You are the first I have heard call a fly pretty! I can't beleive that spider, it almost looks like a face for halloween on its back. The last two are some species of moth, I would think? The aerodynamics of the moth could have well been used in the process of designing the jet fighter? x
I'm with Louise! But I think you are right, the way a fly is put together so intricately is beautiful. My kids loved the very happy spider and wished to see it up close (however, I am happy for him to stay right where he is). As soon as Nate saw that big ol' moth he said it looked just like a fighter jet. I am sorry I don't have any clue what the name of that moth is, but I'd love to find out - that is a HUGE moth.
